  1. RiscOS Forthmacs description

  3. RiscOS Forthmacs 3.0 is a port of the long-existing workstation FORTH-83
  4. dialect Forthmacs. It has been widely used on Sparc, Sun-68k, Macintosh,
  5. Atari-ST., OS9 and other workstations for a number of years.
  6. It's exeptionally stable and has been the basis of the Open Boot architecture
  7. (The debugging rom level of all Sparc-stations).

  9. RiscOS Forthmacs is an optimized, direct threaded code port on ARM machines
  10. and comes complete with the a complete software developing environment.
  11.  
  12. assembler (bi-endian, macros, extentable, structures)
  13. debuggers (highlevel, machine-code)
  14. disassembler, decompiler
  15. object-handling (multiple-code fields)
  16. local variables
  17. shelled applications with Forthmacs swapping in/out
  18. expect history
  19. command-completion
  20. SWI compiler interface
  21. runtime profiler
  22. rs-232 interface using !SerialDev
  23. multitasking
  24. ....

  26. Users are asked to registrate (40 Pds), they will get a printed 200p manual,
  27. and more online documentation. They also will be supported by me and the
  28. Forthmacs server which sends regular bug-fixing letters to all customers.

  30. The METAcompiler including all sources plus more tools for cross-platform
  31. developing is also available (40pds), additional assemblers will be given
  32. on request. This is ONLE available for registered users.

  34. RiscOS Forthmacs including all sources IS copyrighted, BUT you may copy
  35. the "Working Disc" or the "Forthmacs.archive" without any charge. The
  36. sources and the metacompile MUST NEVER be given away.
